FDA Recalls Coffee Makers

HOUSTON - Coffee drinkers who brew at home-- beware! A well known brand of coffee maker could burn you.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 584,000 Black and Decker Spacemaker coffee makers.

The problem involves the brew basket, which can shift of out of alignment allowing hot water to over flow. Users could be scalded. The CPSC has received 235 reports of hot water overflowing.

The product has an under-cabinet mount and was sold at major retailers for the past three years. It sold for about $60-$70.
