HOUSTON - After studying hard during the school year at Sam Houston State University, Junior Mark Cook is taking it easy this summer.

The only work he's doing is trying to get a refund from a tutoring agency. As any biology major knows, the subject can be tough.

"Last Fall I was having some trouble with a chemistry course. they were passing out flyers on campus for accompany called 99 Tutors. So I decided to give them a call and hire a tutor," Cook says.

His family paid 99 tutors $300 for the ten tutoring lessons. But it didn't work out as planned.

"When the tutor showed up she knew less about the subject than I did , so I realized it wasn't going to work out."

Cooks says he called 99 Tutors for a refund. Owner, Detrick Eaton said that would be no problem.

But the never got a refund. Apparently, the letter got lost, so the Cooks send another one.

Eaton said he didn't get the refund request until last month and it takes six to eight weeks to process.

He promised "Take it to Akin" Reporter Emily Akin that the Cook's will get their refund.
