One supermarket located in southwest Harris County has issued a recall for beef ground inside the facility.
The H-E-B store at the intersection of the 14400 block of Bellaire Boulevard and State Highway 6 is warning customers about a precautionary recall for any ground beef items purchased on Sunday, May 10, and packed onto foam plastic trays.
The gound beef may contain "foreign material within the product," according to a news release from H-E-B.
Customers should additionally check the labels on the beef to make sure it has a sell-by date
of Monday, May 11 with either 7 a.m. or 12 p.m. listed as sell-by hours. Anyone who purchased beef with these labels, packed onto foam trays and covered in plastic wrap are asked to bring the beef back to the store at the 14400 block of Bellaire Boulevard.
H-E-B has not had any reports of injuries related to the recall and the news release says that no other stores have been affected by the recall.
