A group of injured veterans went skydiving Sunday. That would be amazing enough, but consider that most of them were missing their limbs.

"Skydiving, it is scary, but it means a lot to me. It means I am like everybody else," said U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Joseph James. He lost his legs below the knee after his unit was attacked in the Middle East.

Fifteen veterans were among 50 amputees who jumped out of planes as a way of showing the world that missing their limbs does not mean they are missing out on life.

"A lot of these guys have hundreds of jumps under their belts, so this is the first time they have jumped after they lose their limbs, so they are jumping today to prove to the world life is not over after amputation," said Joe Sansone. He administrates the Limbs of Love organization which paid for the wounded solders to skydive.

All of the wounded soldiers are being treated at the Intrepid House in San Antonio.
