'Do 1 Thing' to Help Homeless Youth

HOUSTON -- For people who opt not to celebrate the romantic aspect of Valentine's Day, there is an opportunity to spread some Valentine's Day cheer for young people in need.

Carolyn Garrard from Covenant House Texas and Lavender Greer, who has received help from the organization, explain the purpose of the Do 1 Thing event that benefits homeless young children and teens.

Do 1 Thing takes place Sunday, Feb. 14, from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Covenant House Texas building on 1111 Lovett Boulevard.
