On Tuesday, dozens of clinics in the Houston area got a shipment of swine flu vaccine.

The clinics are all part of the Texas Children Pediatrics Associates group. This first shipment was small.

According TCPA the shipment is only enough for about one out of every 20 of its patients. That is less than one hundred doses per doctor.

TCPA Dr. Kristen Koush cautions this first shipment of vaccine is not for everyone. It contains live swine flu virus.

"This is the intranasal version of the vaccine. This is the vaccine that we can give to healthy children ages two and up," said Dr. Koush. "So children who have underlying medical conditions such as asthma or an immune problems cannot receive that vaccine."

TCPA says it is anxiously waiting delivery of the injectable vaccine, which does not contain live swine flu virus.

Texas Children's Pediatric Associates is not affiliated with Texas Children's Hospital.
