HOUSTON - As a means of cultural exchange, a musical duo from Japan is performing in Houston with only two instruments -- the piano and the hand-flute.

Houston Young Artist's Concert presents Childhood on Thursday, Aug. 19, at the Duncan Recital Hall at Shepherd School of Music on the Rice University campus.

Mitsuhiro Mori and Keisuke Usuda perform as the duo Childhood. They are from Chiba, Japan, which is a sister city of Houston.

Mori plays the hand-flute by placing his hands together as if praying, making a space inside the gripped hands and blowing into the gap between the two thumbs.

Childhood performed a preview of the duo's concert on FOX 26 Morning News.
