Jessie James 'Lashes' Out in Houston -- Not That One!

HOUSTON - Singer Jessie James has been named as the celebrity spokeswoman for Houston-based NovaLash, Inc. and she celebrated the honor by visiting Houston on the same week that her newest song was released on iTunes.

As part of the Novalash promotional campaign, James appeared at a reception at The Lash Co. on Kirby Drive and took part in a photo shoot at Hotel ZaZa. Among the photographers were John Tran, also known within music and social scenes as a founding member of the Karma Houston crew.

"When I found out Jessie James was wearing our lashes, I immediately knew she would be the perfect starlet to represent our line," said Ali Moon from NovaLash, Inc.

James, who was featured as one of the Maxim Hot 100 of 2010, released "Boys in the Summer" on June 29, the same day as the photo shoot.

In an interview during the photo shoot, James said that her favorite eyelash artist was Sophia Navarro, who is also a co-owner of The Lash Co. with Sophy Merszei. The studio has been operating in Houston since 2007.

NovaLash, Inc. was founded by husband and wife team Justin Merszei, M.D. and Sophy Merszei along with a team of physicians and scientists from University of Houston and Baylor College of Medicine.
