Fluor Corporation Eliminates 500 Jobs

The largest private employer of workers in Sugar Land will retain that title, but will do so with almost 500 less employees by December.

Fluor Corporation, which owns Fluor Enterprises, Inc. in Sugar Land, announced the staffing cuts by sending a state-required notification of workforce reduction to the City of Sugar Land on Tuesday.

The reductions will continue through December.

Fluor Corporation conducts engineering and construction projects for government and commercial clients, according to the company website.
