Royce Builders Faces Legal Woes

Dozens of students’ education could come to a standstill as a former prominent home builder is slapped with a lawsuit.

The Royce Homes Foundation for youth has filed a lawsuit against the now defunct home builder by the same name. That suit alleges Royce and its owner, John Speer, misappropriated more than $400,000 that was supposed to go into the foundation for scholarships for students.

John Osboorne represents the Royce foundation.

'We've tried to reach them time and time again,” he said.

Representatives from Royce Builders could not be contacted for a comment.
