    The Houston Texans released nine players on Monday and placed offensive tackle David Quessenberry, who is battling lymphoma, on reserve/non-football illness.The Texans waived guard Sam Longo, receivers Joe Adams and Alec Lemon, running back William Powell, nose tackles David Hunter and Austin Brown, outside liinebackers Terrance Lloyd and Lawrence Sidbury and cornerback Junior Mertile.The Texans have four more moves to make prior to the deadline on Tuesday to get to 75.
